As a writer, I can't think of much that is less likely to inspire good writing than this class. And does anybody else see the strange shift to present tense right in the middle there? Some example.
Ginger provided a link to a page full of Calvin & Hobbes snow creations. MJ and Chloe were quite inspired. MJ also made a village of tiny snowpeople and then sledded down our little hill and over the top of them in one of our laundry baskets. I missed the chance to photograph that strange moment of carnage, however.
My first photo with my new Christmas Canon. Not terribly good photography, but very fun subject matter, and not bad for the first shot after slapping in the batteries and SD card.
He's drinking some of the "Ohmigod it's 6:30, aren't the girls ever going to grow out of this?" homemade cocoa he made for us.
As Spring begins its approach, this is a good time to resume the photo blog. I have lost all credibility, so I won't promise it'll be a daily photo. But I have some for the last few days anyway.
Aside from the humor of the shot, I like this one for the surroundings. Frank dozing, decorations unfolding, Dr. Moore's story waiting, a Samurai ready for Christmas, the Obama/Biden sign tucked in one corner, the drum on the hearth, the mantel crowded with Christmas cards, the library books piled on the chest.
Frank took my camera to Florida, so my routine is disrupted. As much as I love taking pictures with MJ's camera, it involves more effort to upload the photos. So I procrastinate.
I'll probably post a group of photos over the weekend to make up for my weekday slacking.
Besides, I'm Blogging Without Obligation! So there!
You'll have to use your imagination, because I didn't take the camera:
MJ, Chloe, and Ronnie spending the afternoon in the health club, trying out the toys equipment and getting their fitness groove on.
Weight training was especially fun, since we each had a cheer squad to help us through our reps, and running around the empty gymnasium as we refreshed our basketball and volleyball skills was a treat. (When I was a kid, a friend's school-principal dad got us into the school gym after hours with unregulated access to the equipment. It was thrilling, and this felt pretty close to that.)
