Or "Slippery Heart," as you prefer...

Enough Already!

Blah Blah Blah

As a writer, I can't think of much that is less likely to inspire good writing than this class.

And does anybody else see the strange shift to present tense right in the middle there? Some example.

Blame It on Calvin and Ginger

Ginger provided a link to a page full of Calvin & Hobbes snow creations. MJ and Chloe were quite inspired.

MJ also made a village of tiny snowpeople and then sledded down our little hill and over the top of them in one of our laundry baskets. I missed the chance to photograph that strange moment of carnage, however.

Dreams Come True

First

My first photo with my new Christmas Canon. Not terribly good photography, but very fun subject matter, and not bad for the first shot after slapping in the batteries and SD card.

He's drinking some of the "Ohmigod it's 6:30, aren't the girls ever going to grow out of this?" homemade cocoa he made for us.

Happy Winter Solstice!

As Spring begins its approach, this is a good time to resume the photo blog. I have lost all credibility, so I won't promise it'll be a daily photo. But I have some for the last few days anyway.

Light

I think this is actually a pretty fun shot. I took it in the dark. Look at the lower left corner to see what it's of.

Garland Fight

Aside from the humor of the shot, I like this one for the surroundings. Frank dozing, decorations unfolding, Dr. Moore's story waiting, a Samurai ready for Christmas, the Obama/Biden sign tucked in one corner, the drum on the hearth, the mantel crowded with Christmas cards, the library books piled on the chest.
